In Tha Beginning wins the first go and average at the Lance Graves Futurity

Melania won the first round of the Lazy E Futurity with a deceiving 15.737.

“Her first was just super, super smooth,” said Montgomery. “In the videos it looks like she’s in super slow motion. She’s not the catty, squirrely type. She’s a big old girl. Her shutting off the clock is pure power and no wasted steps. Her first run was just beautiful.  It doesn’t look like she’s doing much, but she’s really powerful and long-strided.”

She was fourth on her second run with a 15.791.  “In the second run, she ran harder than she ever has,” Montgomery said. “She did slide around and get a hair by them. She did pop me up going into the second. She hit her front end a little bit, but it didn’t throw us off too bad. She got a hair by the first two and I almost pulled her into the third. It wasn’t perfect but it was good enough to win it.”
