A year’s worth of effort came down to a single run on Saturday night for veteran futurity trainer Ryann Pedone. Aboard the royallybred Feel The Sting (“Stinger”), Pedone rose to the occasion, winning the Gold Buckle Beer ProRodeo Tour Finale in Rapid City, in dramatic fashion.

The $5,936 victory bumped Pedone to 11th in the WPRA World Standings to qualify for her first Wrangler National Finals Rodeo, to be held at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas, this December.

“It meant something to me—something that I’ve never felt before,” said Pedone of the win. “There were so many people that went into it; it wasn’t just me. That made the win even more special, because I know how many people sacrificed to set me up for that opportunity.”
